Now we are back in Paris and my health has returned. Funny.

Tonight was AMAZING! The fireworks at the Eiffel Tower were the best I've ever seen in my life! The entire display was set to catchy old French songs and included spotlight beams in multiple colors, fireworks that exploded into heart shapes, projections on the walls of Ecole Militaire and pure entertaining excellence.

Before the fireworks display, mon amour and I ate cookies and sat under the large gravel circle under the tower, watching French kids set off dangerous fireworks. Very very small children were allowed by their parents to set off explosions that fly overhead and others which actually produced shrapnell that scraped past my head, hit my finger, and my ankle. It was cool when they flew up and hit the metal on the tower and the fireworks got stuck up there while still spraying and fizzing colored sparks of fire.

I highly recommend Bastille Day in Paris. But don't take the metro home. You will not fit.
