Sometimes I wonder if the mad people of the world sense something I don't. I mean, if they are tuned into some frequency foreign to my perception. Perhaps an extra sensitive soul is driven to insanity by the knowledge of some outstanding negative force... The reason for my wandering mind is that as I was writing the above, a madwoman smoking a cigarette and wearing short stockings, old heels, a flowered skirt and purple jacket with a large handbag, began to shout raucously in German. The only word I understood was "more" but she yelled so loudly and angrily, her voice echoed through the entire trainstation and everyone turned and just watched as she scuffled along with her bitter face and flashing eyes. She yelled at a random woman who yelled right back at her (!) as she walked away. The Austrian police approached her and shushed her, and signalled for her to come with them, but she BRISKLY jetted away until her voice faded into the background hum. She was yelling at us all. Old people are especially mentally distant here. God knows what experiences they had during the war. Everyone here is mad. Its almost thrilling in its own sick and twisted way...
